Shop Now, Wear Later

The end of summer sales are hands down the best time to stock up on fall essentials.  Whether you're looking for accessories that you can wear all year round, summer pieces that you can easily transition into fall, or simply a good pair of jeans - be sure to check out the sales before browsing the new collections.

Even though my style is rather classic, I love incorporating boho pieces into my outfits, and the free people sale is the place to get them:

Free People Bucket Bag
Free People Scarf
How great would this look with a navy pea-coat once it gets colder?

Another thing I love are fall appropriate summer dresses, and this little Anthropologie number will look even better with a cardigan and a pair of rugged riding boots than it does with sandals:

And let's not forget about Jeans. Why pay full price when these are 75% off?

Sweet Dreams

My name is Laura, and I am an addict. An accent pillow addict that is.  Seriously, I have so many decorative pillows on my couch that there is barely any room left for me, and getting into bed usually requires digging through a mountain of them.

So it shouldn't come as a surprise that I could spend hours browsing through Anthropologie's House&Home section and their beautiful bedding:

Zanzibar

Spice Island

Seadrifter

While their bedding is usually a bit out of my price-range, it's an amazing  place to find inspiration. And sometimes just one great pillow is enough to give even the most generic bedding some character:

On The Fence...

Honestly, the term "vegan leather" makes me cringe. I have absolutely nothing against people who don't like to wear leather, but referring to pleather as "vegan leather" makes about as much sense  as calling tofu  "vegan meat".  It just doesn't work.

That being said, I only hate the name and not the product itself. Especially not when it comes in such amazing shapes as this shift dress from Anthropologie:

Vegan Leather Shift Dress

It's the perfect late summer / early fall dress, and  how cute would this look with some burgundy tights and a big furry jacket for when it gets colder?

Penny Lane would approve.

Cool

I spent my monday night watching the Glastonbury highlights (yay Jack White!) while browsing Anthropologie (yay summer sale!), when I discovered these babies:

Sunny Side Up Sunglasses

I've been looking for a cheaper version of the Ray Ban Clubmaster Style for a while, and these happen to be exactly what I want. But they weren't the only cool (and affordable) pair of shades on the site:

Who knew that Anthro had so many cute sunnies?
I kinda want them all…

Spring Fever

Even though it finally stopped snowing, the temperatures are still way below what would even be remotely acceptable for Spring...  but I'd rather freeze than put on my down parka one more time.  Especially if there are so many cute Spring jackets out there...

From biker jackets to trench coats this season's spring outerwear seems to be in full bloom, and the fun prints are sure to cheer you up until the real flowers finally come out...

Seen On: Crumpets and Cloche Hats

How great was the Pretty Liars season finale? So many new questions...  but I'm not here to discuss red coat theories with you, this is all about the Liar's wardrobe. After her little "vacation" Spencer and her impeccable fashion sense are back and better than ever. Although there is, of course, nothing wrong with spending a week in sweats (or a mental institution) every once in a while…

Just out of Radley, and already serving tea and crumpets in an lovely Anthropologie cord dress. Oh Spence, how I've missed you...

And then there was the hat:

I'm so glad to see her reunited with her hats, sadly this particular one seems to be impossible to track down. Anthro does, however, offer a good selection of cute (and spring appropriate) alternatives, like this amazing straw cloche:

Or  the red cotton version:

EDIT: Spencer's Cloche is from Anthro as well (just not available in the EU store)

Look For Less: Emma Stone

I've been a little obsessed with  Burberry's asymmetrical ruffle wool skirts ever since I saw this picture of Emma Stone:

Source
While I usually have an it's okay to splurge philosophy when it  comes to all things Burberry, I also have a no trendy pieces over 50 bucks philosophy. And yes, a navy pencil skirt  isn't exactly a trendy piece, but I'm also not exactly a pencil skirt kind of girl... Long story short, I wasn't going to spend a small fortune on a skirt that I'd wear once or twice. But then...

Call it serendipity, I was browsing on one of my favorite Blogs, saw that Anthropologie was having a 25% off sale, and somehow ended up with this:

Anthropologie Wandering Wave Skirt

It's a tight cotton knit, not wool. Gray, not navy. But most importantly: 30 bucks, not a thousand. There is, however, one tiny disadvantage: due to the material and the very tight fit you have to be super careful with tucking shirts in - anything too bulky, and you'll end up with awkward lines where you don't want them. But pair it with a thin shirt like Emma's, and it's the perfect wallet friendly alternative to the Burberry version.
