Winter is Coming Part II

Two posts in a day, but I just got the heads up that ASOS is having a timed  sale on all winter boots. But hurry, you only have 24 hours to snatch up a pair:

Tall, Rugged, Slouchy

This week's IFB project is about boots, also known as my one true love besides trench coats.

The assignment was to blog about our boot-choices for the upcoming fall, and as much as I adore all the cute ankle boots that are in style this season, for me it's not a boot until it covers half of my leg.

These Copo De Nieve suede boots do the trick:

But what makes them so perfect is the rugged and slouchy look.

The only downside is that I still have to buy them, but in my mind I'm already wearing them with a short dress and fun overknee socks.

Work it Girl...

At first a was thrilled when it was finally warm enough to break out my ballet flats and boat shoes, but it wasn't long before I started missing my trusty old work boots, and it may have something to do with this picture of Kiernan Shipka for Foam Magazine:

I guess boot season isn't over yet, and there are so many to choose from...

Day 1: Dear Santa...

No better way to start this then with my very own Christmas list:

Source: laurafaiss.polyvore.com via Laura on Pinterest

1) A Burberry Bespoke Trench, that would probably look a lot like the pictured one, but maybe navy with brown sleeves, or tan with beige, but it would definitely have a zipper....  Seriously there is nothing I want more than this. Nothing.

2) A pair of Golden Goose Boots: Effortlessly awesome, and fabulously rugged - just like pretty much everything I love.

3) Marc Jacobs Mouse Flats: When I'm not wearing boots I live in flats, and these have whiskers. Whiskers.

4) Crosley Keepsake USB Record player: Yup, I still don't own this...

5) Monogram pendant necklace: If it doesn't move, monogram it, especially if it's shiny.

6) Ship To Shore Sideboard: The Crosley would look so good on it...

7) A canvas print of Dashiell Hammett, 'cause who wouldn't want that?

8) Anything Soap&Glory. Anything (well anything from the classic line, because this one is deadly allergic to all fruity scented things)

What's on top of your wish list this year? Let me know, comment below!

These Boots Are Made for Walking

Nothing is more essential for fall than the perfect pair of flat boots, rubber or leather, brown or black, or even in bright colors or patterns.  So here are a couple of my favorites:

Product List (Polyvore)

Nothing beats a classic riding boot. No matter if on the chic side as the chocolate version by Tory Burch, or a little  more rough around the edges like the cognag Sam Edelman boots, there is almost nothing that doesn't go with them, and even the simplest of outfits can look like a million dollars if paired with a good pair of boots.

Wellies,  on the other hand, are something to have fun with.  The bows on the Ted Baker boots will add a girly touch to anything, while still looking classy. And the quilted Sperry boots are maybe the best practical thing I've seen all year, especially the lace-up ones...
