REmember those stuffed animal purses you had as kid? My favorite was always a horse, it was brown, and its belly didn't hold more than some change and a lipgloss - but I loved it. And guess what? I found a grown up version:
The fabric and details make it look eclectic instead of childish, and it's also a lot roomier than the kid version. So if you don't mind spending $50 on a childhood throwback, then it's the perfect bag for you.
Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower - Albert Camus
The sound of walking through crunchy leaves has always been one of my favorite things about fall, but since it will still take a few weeks for those leaves to fall, I found a different way to enjoy them:
The recipe is super simple: Just cut a couple of large tortillas into leaf shapes, frye the pieces in a pan until the edges are brown, cool them, and toss them in a cinnamon/sugar/salt mixture. Enjoy!
Ever since I was a kid I had a fascination with all things military: army green has been my favorite color for as long as I can remember, I always loved a good a combat boot, and if a coat didn't have uniform inspired details I wouldn't even look at it....
Have you seen Jennifer Lawrence's Miss Dior campaign? No? Well take a look:

The Bag, the coat, the hair, the barely there make-up - There is nothing in this shoot that isn't perfect. It almost looks like the fresh faced beauty just had her picture taken after a long walk through the crisp fall air...
And if you're looking for a new fall bag that's a bit wallet friendlier than the Dior version, check out this little velvet number from ASOS:
One of the reasons why I love the Burberry shows so much is that I always feel like I am a part of them - even when I'm just watching from my living room.
From the personal invitations, to the live tweets, it is the same attention to detail that also makes the brand's designs so perfect. And today's Spring/Summer 2014 Womenswear show was no exception:
September signifies the end of summer, and for some of us that means back to school. But even if your schooldays are long gone, you might enjoy these picks:
Even as a young adult I wasn't all that into young adult fiction, but this story about a secret society at an elite boarding school caught my attention, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. I don't want to give away too much, but Daisy Whitney succeeded in wrapping a very serious and current issue into a thrilling story with an inspiring message.
Watch: The Skulls
Ok, so I may have chosen this to stay within the secret society range, but this also happens to be one of those early 2000's gems that never gets old. And then there's early 2000s Paul Walker, and many gorgeous scenery shots.
This album is such an obvious choice for this time of year, but I just love to listen to it while taking a walk, or reading a book on the porch - it's early fall sentimentalism at its best.
If I could choose only one outfit to wear for the rest of my live, it'd be a a good pair of jeans and a Free People thermal. Even though they are a tad bit expensive for thermals, they are worth the splurge as I tend to wear them until they fall apart (which hasn't happened yet even though my oldest ones have been part of my wardrobe for more than 3 years).
The best is that the designs get prettier every year:
I know I've been a little MIA this summer, lets just say there were a lot of not so great things happening, and I needed a blogging break to get my life back in order. But things are finally looking up now, and if anyone wants to know details feel free to ask.
After this not so great summer I'm even more excited that my favorite time of the year is about to start, and here are some things that I'm looking forward to this fall:
