Piece of Cake

I didn't write a baking post in ages, but to make up for it I present you my favorite (and very healthy) cookie recipe:

You Need (for 10 cookies):

2 Cups Almond or Spelt Wheat Flour
1 Cup Rolled Oats
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Eggwhite (or 1/2 Teaspoon Xanthan Gum if you want to keep it vegan)
1/2 Cup Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Honey (or Agave for the vegan version)
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
1 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips
1/4 Cup Slivered Almonds

Heat the oven to 300°F/150°C.  Mix everything except the chocolate and almonds in a large bowl, roast the almonds in a pan, add the roasted almonds and the chocolate chips, and use an ice cream scoop  to scoop the cookies onto a parchment lined sheet pan. Flatten each cookie with your hand, and bake for 8 to 10 minutes (15 if you used egg).

It's a piece of cake.

What to Watch...

Who's in the mood for a  good old fashioned movie night? You? Great! But what do you want to watch?  Yeah, that's what I thought...

If you're anything like me then finding a movie often takes longer than watching it,  so I figured I'd help you with some of my recent favorites (feel free to return the favor):

1) Saving Mr. Banks

Saving Mr. Banks tells the story behind one of the most beloved movies of all time: Mary Poppins.
The movie is equally charming, emotional, and sobering, as it creates an entirely new perspective to a Disney classic.  I'd recommend this not only to fans of the source material, but to anyone who has a soft spot for visually impressive dramas, because besides the compelling story, the movie is also gorgeous to look at.

2) Not Another Happy Ending

I've been waiting so long to see this. If you enjoy romantic comedies that are actually smart then the story about a publisher who falls for his author is perfect for you.  Oh and Stanley Weber is absolutely  gorgeous.  Just saying...

3) Cry Wolf

This may seem like your average slasher film, but trust me when I say it's not. Even though the movie is already 10 years old, I had never heard of it until a few weeks ago,  which is a shame considering how great it is...  and that twist at the end. So good.

Bow-tiful

I have two weaknesses when it comes to sweaters: bows and back details, so it's no surprise that this little number from ASOS just made it to the top of my wishlist.

The bow detail, the open back, the creamy pink (although the black one's amazing too) – it's the perfect sweater. And I can already see myself pairing it with a chambray shirt, until it is warm enough to show a little more skin.

Simply bow-tiful...

Everybody Loves an Accent

Among all the fantastic Essie looks from New York Fashion week, the adorable accent nails from Jenny Packham stood out the most:

And the best? The look is super easy to recreate, just paint your nails with a sheer neural (I recommend Ballet Slippers), and use a bobby pin or toothpick to create the dots with your favorite colors. All done.

Masterpieces

No one does Fashion Shows better than Burberry. From the lovely twitter invitations, over the brilliant social media coverage, to the show itself, "attending" a Burberry show is always a treat. And well the clothes are quite amazing as well:
